Utility.Engineering has diverse experience including projects starting at power plants, going through transmission lines to substations onto distribution lines through transformers into meter cans and out to the light switch or plug receptacle. While we are not masters of all of these elements, we have the ability to solve or find resources to solve most any challenge thrown at us. More importantly, we also recognize our shortcomings and will not overstep our experience.

REOP ENG was started to create REal OPportunities in ENGineering for those eager to explore and grow in the utility industry. Almost no one sets out in life with the goal of working in this industry; however, it is an amazing place to be and it impacts literally everyone's life. Very few people recognize the support system required to turn on a light switch or have air conditioning, but everyone quickly complains when they are not working. While this is an over simplified illustration of how the utility industry impacts lives, it is a true statement. The beauty of working in utility engineering is that we bring positive change to every family, business and community.
REOP ENG was also created to REOPEN Gateways between highly qualified people from diverse backgrounds to enjoy fruitful careers. Success in this life is enjoying what you do on a daily basis. Cristina has a law degree from Mexico and a real estate license in Texas. She oversees talent acquisition, contract negotiations and client development. With her years in the real estate industry, she evaluates client site development and feasibility studies for residential and commercial development including the impact of all utilities. Additionally, Cristina oversees all financial analysis, revenue forecasting and budgeting.
Edward has a bachelor's of science in electrical engineering and a master's of science in management of technology. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Texas and has been certified as a project management professional. Edward is a subject matter expert in power utility engineering design and planning. The projects he has worked on and/or project managed include system improvement, civic (public) improvement, reliability, power quality, residential and commercial developments, distribution generation, photometrics studies, power systems analysis, system protection, pole loading analysis, and joint use application (JUA) make-ready/ upgrades.
